Leeds United v Sheffield Wednesday: “No disconnect” says head coach

Leeds United welcome Sheffield Wednesday to Elland Road on Saturday for an all Yorkshire affair, and Head Coach Paul Heckingbottom insists that despite Andrea Radrizzani’s comments the player’s focus will not change.

After Radrizzani questioned the commitment and desire of some of the current playing squad, Heckingbottom acknowledged that the owner has every right to say what he believes and although some things at club do need to change of summer, a “huge overhaul” is not needed and there is no “disconnect” between the players and owner.

On Radrizzani’s comments, defender Gaetano Berardi added that he has seen “improvements” at the club and there is a lot to be happy about, however he would like to speak to Radrizzani “face to face” to discuss the comments.

Liam Cooper, Kemar Roofe and Andy Lonergan are all expected to miss out again on Saturday but Paul Heckingbottom has no fresh injury concerns.
